Welcome to the dream season, a podcast for entrepreneurs, writers, and creatives of all kinds looking to finally find some balance in your life. So you can get back to enjoying the things you love and even the things you don't love, but have to do anyway. I'm your host, Holly Ostara, and together we're going to bring delight, inspiration, and sustainability to your creative flow.

Okay, so I want you to know that even though this show has beautifully triumphant and maybe kind of relaxing openers, that this is not going to be one of those la di da podcasts where I've got it all figured out and you're going to have to feel bad because you don't yet. I am a disaster sometimes. I am a disaster right now as I record this very first episode on the day that I said that I would post it.

But, we are going to untangle this thing called creativity together and we're not going to be disasters anymore. I'm Holly Ostara. I guide women who believe in the magic of the universe to share their wisdom, ideas, and gifts by writing and publishing a life changing book. So that they can change more lives, including their own, without burning out or losing sight of the important things in their life.

But I'm also more than that. I'm an artist, an author, an explorer, a mother, and someone trying every day to realign my life to be more joyful, more productive, more sustainable, and less overwhelming. We are learning by doing here. And if you've had a passion project on your to do list for too long, whether it be starting or growing a creative business, finding more peace in your life, or writing a book that's been living rent free in your head since you were in high school, then this is the podcast for you.

We're going to talk about creativity, entrepreneurship, and getting things done without doing yourself in. And yes, I'm a book coach, so there will be episodes about writing books, but let's be honest, you can get writing tips anywhere. So we're going to cover these topics in a way that's applicable to any creative and any entrepreneur.

It's not going to be lesson after lesson. We will look at the passion project environment holistically, because nothing is created in a vacuum. You've got a life to live and whether you call yourself a creative or not, whether you love the process of putting words on page or running a business or not, you can't do it 24 hours a day or seven days a week and certainly not 52 weeks a year.

At least not without ebbs flows and shifts. There is a season. For all aspects of a project. And we're going to talk about that too. And there will probably be swearing. I'm trying to cut back because my daughter is getting to that age where she's liable to imitate me. And I don't want her to repeat it at school and get me in trouble with her teacher.

But sometimes you're just in your season of swearing. And I will probably tell punny jokes. I thought that was part of my charm. But my husband tells me my delivery is too dry. Um, and they go over his head, and he just thinks I've mispronounced the word, and I really think that's a hem problem, but we're not going to bring my marriage into this, okay?

I promise. Um. There will be puns, and sometimes we'll have guests, and sometimes you'll just get me. But for now, at least, episodes will start with a little seasonal alignment to help you balance your creativity with where we all are right now in the year, and where you in particular are in your day, week, and life.

Then we're going to move into the interview or the lesson or the chat, and I hope that you will thoroughly enjoy each one. And finally, you will leave each episode uplifted with something actionable that you can do to bring you closer to finishing your passion project, whether it be a piece of art, a book, a business, or just finding time for yourself.

And more importantly, to enjoy your life, your creative space. And perhaps your business alongside it. So, yep, that's the whole goal. So welcome to the Dream Season. Thank you so much for listening to this episode of the Dream Season. I've got just one thing to ask of you. Please, please, please leave a review on Apple iTunes or wherever you listen to podcasts.

All you need to do is select a star rating, and I hope it's five stars, but please be honest. And tap, type, or even voice to text one or two sentences about your experience listening. Something you learned or something you loved. This is the single most important thing you can do to help this podcast succeed.

And as a thank you to anyone who used or reviewed today, I will send you a free audio guided visualization for each season so you can find your creativity no matter the season. Just email a screenshot of your review to hello at booksandalchemy. com and I'll send you the visualization. Thank you again for listening and remember, no matter the season.

Remember to drink.
